CLOSEGOOD’S “OMEN” IS HAUNTINGLY TRIPPY

V Magazine premieres “Omen” by Trans music-duo Closegood

By Czar Van Gaal

The trans music-duo gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "band of outsiders." The duo owns their quirks and uses their music to address race, gender, and sexuality. Songwriter Nyfe and producer Amada found each other during a period of depression in college that they both shared. Stuck in an isolated Northern California small town feeling like societal outcasts, they channeled their stories into something meaningful; their music.

Today, they released their first ever song, “Omen” and its companion video. This track is the first release of a larger collaboration with Grammy-nominated super-producer Anthony Kilhoffer, known for producing hits for artists for Kanye and Kid Cudi, among others. With Kilhoffer executive producing the project and the mix of dark pop and spoken poetry, the duo delivers a sound we don’t hear too often. And it’s no different with “Omen”, that undeniable unique sound continues to reign true. Conjuring up hauntingly trippy visuals to match the single, Closegood takes you to another realm. V are honored to premiere “Omen” by Closegood. More to come from your new favorite misfits soon.
